Ads are many web site's one and only source of income. This can really hurt your web site if you do not "Manage" your ads very wisely. We hope that this special report will educate you in ad management and make you better at it.
Ad management can make or break your site. Too many ads can turn visitors away, not having enough ads can lose you money. So how do I manage all of this?
Don't Overcrowd your site with ads. We recommend no more than 2 banner ad's on a page, and no more than 6 buttons, unless the page is REALLY long. Your visitors will respect you for it!
Advertising rotations are one of the best way to manage all of the ads on your web site. If you cannot make one yourself, check out the FREE ones to the right under "Tools". Advertising rotators can place many ads in one, certain ads can be "weighted' to show twice, three times, or more then another ad. The only problem with this method is you must receive a lot of traffic to get all of the ads shown a lot, but that's promotion, were on management, overall we HIGHLY recommend rotating advertisements.
Pay By Click Programs such as ValueClick or DoubleClick are a choice you must make on your own. If you want to manage your own ads, and sell ad space, then fine, but these programs are good. We recommend 1 of these banners at the top of each page, and your own rotation near the bottom.
Banner Exchanges are a good idea to promote your site, but again don't crowd your site with them. The banner at the top of your page should be a paid ad, and at the bottom in your rotation, put the banner exchange, that's right, put a banner exchange in your rotation! Why didn't I think of that.
