1. How did you start your online business?
Dotbroker was started by an in-house development effort by Sandline Productions.

The initial purpose of which was to sell two primary domain names.

Dotbroker is an online domain name auction site that allows webmasters to find, trade and sell domain names that they may use for sites they create.

3. How did you go about promoting your web site?
Dotbroker was promoted through co-branding efforts and the purchase of a domain name that already brought in traffic.

July, 1999

5. How has your business grown?
It is basically automated and runs itself, but has grown in the number of users from 0, to over 1000 registered users.

6. Do you have any tips for webmasters?
Make sure you have enough spare time on your hands to operate your site - and spell out as much help detail as you can within your site.
